Social media community guidelines
Last updated 21 August 2026
Wickintyre Design Co’s social media pages are places to share ideas, learn, ask questions and connect with other small businesses and creative people. Different opinions and respectful conversations are welcome. Personal attacks, discrimination and behaviour that makes others feel unsafe are not. These guidelines apply to comments, replies, messages, reviews, tags and other interactions across Wickintyre Design Co’s social media channels.
Wickintyre Design Co is operated by Emma Wicken in Canberra, ACT.

Be kind and respectful
You’re welcome to disagree, ask questions or share another point of view. Please do it respectfully.
Don’t post content that is:
Abusive, threatening or intimidating
Bullying or deliberately humiliating
Discriminatory, hateful or derogatory
Sexually explicit or inappropriate
Directed at attacking another person or business
Likely to encourage harm or unlawful behaviour
Discrimination based on race, culture, nationality, religion, disability, age, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation or any other protected attribute won’t be tolerated.
Keep it relevant
Please keep comments reasonably connected to the original post or conversation. Repeatedly posting the same message, deliberately disrupting discussions or attempting to move every conversation onto an unrelated issue may result in your content being removed.
No spam or unsolicited promotion
Please don’t use Wickintyre Design Co’s pages to repeatedly promote your own products, services, referral links, competitions or events without permission. Genuine recommendations and relevant business mentions are welcome when they naturally contribute to the conversation. Fake engagement, automated comments, scams and misleading promotions will be removed.
Protect your privacy and the privacy of others
Social media is public, so please think carefully before sharing personal information.
Don’t post:
Home addresses
Private phone numbers or email addresses
Financial or payment information
Passwords or login details
Private correspondence
Personal information about another person without their permission
Photographs of children without appropriate permission
If you need to discuss a quote, invoice, active project or private concern, please email info.wickintyredesignco@gmail.com rather than sharing the details publicly.
Share accurate information
Please don’t knowingly post false, deceptive or misleading information.
Advice shared by Wickintyre Design Co is general in nature and based on the information available at the time. Social media, marketing, design platforms and business requirements can change, so you should consider what is appropriate for your own circumstances.
Respect creative work
Please don’t copy, reproduce, edit, sell or redistribute Wickintyre Design Co designs, photographs, templates, written content or other creative work without permission. When sharing someone else’s work, make sure you have permission and provide appropriate credit. Tagging or crediting a creator doesn’t automatically give you permission to use their work.
Moderation
I want these spaces to feel useful, welcoming and safe. To support that, I may hide, remove or report content that doesn’t follow these guidelines.
Depending on the circumstances, I may also restrict, mute or block an account that:
Repeatedly ignores these guidelines
Targets or harasses another person
Uses discriminatory or abusive language
Posts scams, spam or malicious links
Impersonates another person or business
Threatens harm or encourages unlawful behaviour
Shares private or confidential information
Attempts to disrupt the page or community
Where the issue is minor, I may give the person an opportunity to edit or remove their comment. Serious or repeated behaviour may be acted on without warning. Moderation decisions are made at my reasonable discretion and don’t necessarily reflect agreement or disagreement with someone’s opinion.
Reviews and feedback
Honest feedback is welcome, including feedback that isn’t entirely positive. I won’t remove a review simply because it is critical. However, content may be reported or removed if it includes threats, discrimination, private information, spam, impersonation or claims that are demonstrably false or unlawful. If you have a concern about a service or project, please contact me directly so I have an opportunity to understand what happened and work towards a fair resolution.
Messages and response times
You’re welcome to send Wickintyre Design Co a message, but social media inboxes aren’t always the most reliable place for project communication. For quotes, project changes, approvals, complaints or anything time-sensitive, please email info.wickintyredesignco@gmail.com.
I’ll respond as soon as reasonably possible during my usual business hours. Sending repeated messages across several platforms won’t result in a faster response.
Platform rules
Your use of Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest or another social media platform is also subject to that platform’s terms, community standards and privacy practices. Wickintyre Design Co isn’t responsible for content posted by other users or for decisions made by a social media platform.
Reporting a concern
If you see a comment or interaction on a Wickintyre Design Co page that may breach these guidelines, please don’t start an argument with the account involved. You can report the content through the platform or email me at info.wickintyredesignco@gmail.com with:
A brief explanation of your concern
A screenshot, if available
A link to the comment or post
I’ll review the matter as soon as reasonably possible.
Updates to these guidelines
These guidelines may be updated as Wickintyre Design Co’s social media channels and community grow. The most recent version will be published on the Wickintyre Design Co website.
